12:00 hours / Setup:

Students will learn the basics of setting up a digital production environment, including equipment selection, layout and ergonomics, digital and analog signal flow, midi as well as virtual instruments.

13:00 hours / Record Production and Remixing:

Students will learn professional methods for creating a remix of an existing song as well as, special techniques for song creation, editing, tracking, and genre specific sound selection.

14:00 hours / The Mix-down:

Students will learn real life techniques of mixing inside the box. Students will receive tips and techniques in the use of virtual studio processors such as EQs, compressors, gates, delays, reverbs, as well as proper levels when combining mix elements together to create a commercial mix.

15:00 hours / Getting Your Business In Order:

Often overlooked by up-and-coming producers is the business of being a music producer which is the most important area. You will ways to get your music placed with major artists and how to get meetings with record executives. Also you’ll learn essential information you need about your rights, publishing, copyrights and all around setting yourself up as a business so you can begin to get paid.
